We are glad to welcome you to Sutton Park. We follow the government advice on the COVID-19 situation and, while the house remains closed, all visitors are welcome to visit our gardens until 5pm on Wednesday 30th September. There is no need to book a time for your visit. When visiting, please follow the signage on site to maintain social distancing and use hand sanitisers as instructed.

Unfortunately we are still unable to welcome admission to the house. As soon as these restrictions are relaxed we will update you – please refer to this web page or our social media platforms for the latest information.

Sutton Park Gardens open to visit…

Sutton Park was built in the 18th century by Thomas Atkinson for Philip Harland and is now the family home of Sir Reginald, the 8th Baronet Sheffield and his wife, Lady Sheffield. The house and grounds offer a wealth of architectural and artistic delights to enjoy. Come and experience this national treasure for yourself. The House is currently closed.

Sutton Park Tearooms

We are pleased to announce that Miss Daisy’s Tearooms are open from 11am – 4pm from Thursday to Sunday.

The tearooms have ample outdoor seating and distanced indoor seating to ensure your safety. Hand sanitiser will be provided and a one-way system is in place to maintain a safe distance between customers. Cash and card payments are accepted – please make card payments where possible.

Gardens

Sutton Park was proud to be awarded ‘Gold’ in the 2019 Yorkshire in Bloom Awards.

There is no need to book your visit to the Gardens which are open daily from 11am to 5pm (last admission 4pm) until 30th September 2020. Toilets in the grounds are open when the Tearooms are open from Thursday to Sunday inclusive.

House

We hope to open Sutton Park’s Grade 1 listed house for guided tours later in the year.

Private Parties

Open all year round by appointment. Minimum 12 persons. £9.00 per person.

Disabled

Limited access in the House. Lift. Accessible toilets in the grounds are open when the Tearooms are open.
